Welcome to the new Fire Brigades Union site for South Yorkshire which actually or more to the point factually represents a total of 98.2 % of the uniformed workforce within South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The Aim of this site is to help give advice and offer guidance on all issues that affect your pay and conditions of service both locally and nationally. Together with keeping you totally up to date on all current issues within South Yorkshire. We strongly believe that factual information should not cloud the water on issues that directly affect your local negotiated conditions of service. Therefore this site will only inform you of factual events as and when they happen, this should then offer a direct route to you therefore reducing the spin that surrounds some contentious issues in and around your workplace.
